Peggy and the Perrine Bridge

I got an email over Flickr the other day from a woman named Peggy. She told me that she had been looking through my Photostream and came across my pictures of the Perrine Bridge. She then told me that she originally was from Twin Falls, but is now living in California. She also told me that her dad, who had just recently passed away, was the subcontractor that did the drilling and support for the bridge and she wanted to know if she could have these pictures to share with family in remembrance of her dad. I emailed her back, saying that I would be honored. Long story short, Peggy has four photos of "her dad's bridge" to remember him by and I had the first sale in long time, so I think we both came out happy. She was even nice enough to leave a testimonial on my Flickr profile:

"Jenn has some of the best quality scenic photos on Flickr. On top of her talent, she doesn't mind sharing them for a very modest fee. A heartfelt thanks to her for her generosity. My Perrine Bridge photos would not have been complete without them. God Bless!"

I feel blessed by Peggy's kind words, her patronage, to have met her, and hear her story about her dad. I told her that I will think about her and her dad everytime I drive over the bridge, now, and she told me that she might be back for more prints because she is "homesick". Besides the honoring and humbling experience, I learned the ever-valuable lesson that it's not about the money, it's about the images and what they mean to people. I pray I always remember that. Please keep Peggy in your prayers as she mourns the loss of her father.
