Naranjo/Buffalo Wedding

We had the pleasure of shooting our very first wedding. It was for a young couple from our church. Photographing their wedding for them was our gift to them. I have a new-found respect for wedding photographers, now - and understand why they charge so much! It was exhausting and stressful, but so fulfilling and exciting. I ended up shooting 429 images total, but only 113 were keepers - and that's not including the ones that my second photographer (Matt) took, too! The biggest challenges were getting the right people in the right shots (they kept disappearing) and the poor light conditions inside the sanctuary and gym. Thankfully, my new flash worked beautifully. I hated using full flash on them, but it was the only way to catch ANYTHING in there! I would have had a lot of noisy, blurred shots if I hadn't of used the flash. Luckily, I used the flash on the majority of the shots, so I got them some decent captures.

We took this shot especially for the newlywed's thank you cards. I saw this idea while looking around for wedding photo ideas. The bride was really excited about doing this one and I don't think it could have turned out any more perfect.
