Canon EOS 70D + Sigma 30mm EX DC f/1.4

I had so many reasons to upgrade: I was growing frustrated with the quality of my images. Matt was growing frustrated with his restricted video capabilities. I have a wedding to shoot this spring. I wanted to take my photography to another level. The Lord blessed me with some money we weren't planning on, so I did it. I upgraded. And I am so very happy with my choice, thus far.

I ended up with a Canon EOS 70D body and a Sigma 30mm EX DC f/1.4 lens. I haven't gotten to test it fully -- the weather here was just awful today. But I did take a few test shots around our place.

I will be keeping my T2i for backup and as a second at the wedding, since I'll be shooting alone.

Can I just say this new lens is UH-MAZING? Goodbye, Nifty Fifty.

All shot in RAW. Minimal editing.

  1. I'd love to hear why you like the 30mm better than your 50mm :) Great shots!!! Sounds like you made a fab choice!!!
